Southport | Support Worker

Salary: 9.00 per hour

Due to additional contracts, we are looking to recruit support workers to fill various shifts for our Clients in and around Southport, Merseyside, whose Service Users have learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.
Support workers are required to work within the mission statement and values of our Client, and are expected to promote service user independence by providing the service users with support, advice and assistance when necessary.
You should be sensitive and responsive and will consult and involve service users in all areas relating to their individual lives. The privacy, confidentiality, rights and responsibilities of the service users will be upheld at all times. Support workers are required to work within the policies, practices and procedures, codes of practice and all legislative and regulatory requirements.
It is the nature of the work that tasks and responsibilities are sometimes unpredictable and varied, you will therefore be expected to work in a flexible way when the occasion arises.
You will need to have at least six months experience of working in a similar role, with NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), working towards Level 3.
